MARCH

Can you believe it is March already? This week we are celebrating the end of Black History month with a film on the great Bill Pinkney, as well as a writing assignment on Wilma Rudolph. Wednesday is Dr. Seuss's Birthday, so be sure to choose one of his great books to read with your child during the week! Check the blog for the weekly targets and spelling words.

Friends,

Do you have a naturalist or budding ornithologist in your group?  If so, they might be interested in participating in the Great Backyard Bird Count this weekend.  It can take as little as 15 minutes and they don't even need to leave home.  Of course, if they are interested they can spend a lot more time and / or count from other places such as Thatcher Woods or . . .

Here's the link:  http://www.birdsource.org/gbbc/howto.html

Please pass this on to the parents of any kiddo you think might be interested and / or add to your blog / newsletter.

If you would like I could even take some children at your recess time this morning . . . I have a few times I could join you.
