Weekly Review

Reading:

This week the class read several different poems from our first unit of Open Court.  We looked at words that rhyme and created our very own RHYME STEW! The class continued to review beginning and ending sounds, blends and long/short vowels.  We even finished our first read aloud... The Class Election From Black Lagoon!  Ask your child who won!

Math:

In our Everyday Math books we covered the following topics:
1- Tally Marks
2- Number Writing
3- Graphs
4- Number Order

The class made several different graphs this week including ones about our favorite colors.  RED WON!

Handwriting Without Tears:

The students worked on Frog Jump capital letters.  They each took their time and were very successful at completing their workbooks! It was a frog-tastic week in the Lambville :)!

Journals:
The students wrote about family, their favorite games, things we do in the fall and what we did this summer.  The students are so proud of their work.

Reminders:

-Continue to work on phone numbers and address.
