HALLOWEEN

Hello Mann Parents,

On Friday, October 29th the students will be participating in Halloween activities.  The lunch hour will be extended on Friday from 10:45-12:00 for students in 1st through 4th grade.  Kindergarten students are wearing their costumes to school and therefore will not need to go home for lunch.  Fifth grade lunch is from 11:00-12:15. Students who elect to eat lunch at school will be able to change into their costumes at 11:45 AM. Students who are going home for lunch that day must be picked up on the blacktop from the classroom teacher at the designated time.

The Halloween parade will start at about 2:20/2:25 PM.  The parade route includes the entire block on which Mann School is situated, with the start and finish on the playground. In keeping with the mystery of the season, the direction of the march is a secret. If black clouds accompany the black cats, our parade will creep around the first floor of the building. In that event, you may photograph the children in the auditorium. Parents are cordially invited to view and take pictures of our spectacular parade.  If it is raining then the parade will be on the first floor of the school.

We are asking the students to wear appropriate costumes that maintain respect for other in their costuming. What is appropriate for a costume? It should be just for fun, but should not be a negative portrayal and/or stereotypical image of any group of people.

If you have any questions please let us know.
